Picture Day

The three of us went outside class today and messed around taking pictures.

HDR

Today we took pictures of our local library. We mainly used HDR today, had a lot of fun. 

Tattoo Shop

Spider the tattoo artist had a great story to tell. He started tattooing when he was only 12 years old. In his younger years he wasn't on the right track, he went to prison for 15 years and though it wasn't the greatest place to be, he found plenty of time to practice his art with prison tattoos. When he was finally out he turned his life around and started working in other tattoo shops, getting his foot in the door, and eventually he made enough to start his own shop. Now he owns this small shop, but gets a lot of business and he can support his family. Not only is it something to keep him up financially, he loves doing it. He hears many stories behind the tattoos he does, and behind cover ups etc. One of the most interesting story was when he tattooed hair on a mans head which where he comes from, your hair is your status, and he lost his hair at a very young age.

Old Sac Field Trip Photos

Yesterday all of the photography students met at Old Sacramento to go around and take pictures of anything we wanted. We didn't have a specific assignment, but we had to choose a few things that we wanted to take pictures of, and all of us went out with an idea of what we were going to shoot. Being in this different environment helped most of us find new ways to take pictures. This was a great experience, I would love to do it again.

The Firehouse

Represented the Firehouse today through our pictures! Got some pictures of the back and the front.

Today in photo we did sidewalk chalk photography. We did an ice cream cone! We tried to be creative and did several things with the chalk. Great day today!

We also did panning in photography today, and it was a little bit of a different experience because you have to be in sync with the subject, i got a few, and this is one of my favorites.

Today we used remote flashes, and added extra light sources. We used these remote flashes to make alternate sources of natural light, it turned out great!

When we took our pictures, I got some overexposed pics that turned out pretty good like this one.

So today's photography class brought us indoor portraits, and we also climbed a tree, took some selfies.

Another shot I took today, this time with Rose and my sister Tabatha :). Today was a great day in photo, got some great shots!

Portraits

Today in photography we took pictures of each other, playing with light exposure and trying out depth of field. I got some great shots as did everyone else! 

Today in photo class we took pictures in black and white. I chose this picture because it was my most in focus picture. The background also makes he picture stand out to me.
